Description: Ethics of Today’s Paralegal – This course’s goal is to help you know your role and set boundaries when interacting with clients and the public in general. It will cover the standards set for paralegals and present some real-life situations where the standards are put into practice. Ultimately, you should be able to explain the responsibility of the paralegal and how ethical standards can be upheld.

Presenter Biography: Angela N. Yess, ACP, earned her CP in 2000 and her ACP in Discovery in 2010. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and her Paralegal Certificate at Cal State, San Bernardino. Currently, her paralegal skills are focused mainly on civil litigation. She is the current Chairperson of the Paralegal Section of the San Joaquin County Bar Association and a member of the San Francisco Paralegal Association (SFPA), the California Alliance of Paralegal Associations (CAPA), and the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). She was awarded Paralegal of the Year by CAPA in 2015 and was a NALA Affiliate Award recipient in 2004 and 2013.
