These standards recognized the technical abilities and standards of the Professional Land Surveyor, along with the needs that the Land Title Insurance industry have when asked to “insure title to land without exceptions as to the many matters which might be discoverable from a survey.” Through the years, there have been numerous revisions and updates to these standards.
