The Founders’ Award is the NALA award with the broadest scope of recognition. It is awarded to individuals who have made significant and long-lasting contributions to the paralegal profession. This award recognizes those who have influenced the growth and development of the profession through leadership, advocacy, and a commitment to the values and goals of NALA. The nomination deadline is April 1st, and the winner is announced during the Annual Membership Meeting at the annual Conference & Expo.
President’s Award
The President’s Award acknowledges members who have gone above and beyond in their leadership activities within NALA and/or NALA’s Affiliated Associations. This award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions through their time, effort, and expertise, particularly in supporting the mission and growth of NALA and its affiliates. The nomination deadline is April 1st, and the winner is announced during the Annual Membership Meeting at the annual Conference & Expo.
Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award celebrates emerging professionals within NALA who have shown great potential in leadership and volunteerism early in their careers. This award is aimed at members who have demonstrated exemplary service to the profession in less than five years as a paralegal. The nomination deadline is February 1st, and the winner is announced in Facts & Findings.
Volunteer of the Year Award
The Volunteer of the Year Award honors a NALA member who has gone above and beyond in their volunteer efforts, offering their time and expertise to advance the paralegal profession. This individual, who has been a paralegal for at least five years, is recognized for their outstanding volunteer contributions. The nomination deadline is February 1st, and the winner is announced in Facts & Findings.
