Description: This webinar will review the NALA Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and other rules and guidelines related to paralegal and legal assistant ethics. It will also cover the tasks a paralegal may generally perform without engaging in the unauthorized practice of law, issues around protecting client confidentiality and the attorney-client privilege, and considerations for responsible use of social media and electronic communications by law firms and their clients during litigation.

Presenter Biography: Madeline E. McNeeley is a partner at Harris Lowry Manton LLP in Atlanta, where she focuses on catastrophic-injury litigation. She previously served at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit as a staff attorney and as a clerk for Judge Peter Fay. Molly writes and presents regularly on roadway safety, commercial transportation, ethics, and litigation practice. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where she was selected to the Order of the Coif.
