Description: This session discusses conflict in the digital sphere, what it means, and how to recognize its root causes, as well as how it affects people personally. It takes conscious communication strategies to be understood and resolved. Self-awareness is another crucial element.

Instructor: Kiki Wilson

Kiki Wilson is a professor of online communications at Fortis Institute. She received her master's degree in communication from Walden University and her undergraduate degree from SUNY Brockport and Finger Lakes Community College. As part of the "Conscious Communication" series, Kiki will present her ongoing research, which focuses on topics such as conflict management, the LGBTQ+ community, and adult bullying in the workplace. In 2024, Finger Lakes Community College presented her with the Distinguished Alumnus award, and Blaque Out Magazine named her Activist of the Year.

Yes, these courses qualify for mandatory continuing legal education for: National Association of Legal Assistants, State Bar of California, North Carolina, and Louisiana State Paralegal Association.  For all others please check with the corresponding institutions.
