Presenter Biography: Michelle Hubbs, MAL, is a human rights advocate and mediator focused on advancing individual rights and dismantling systemic barriers to justice. With nearly three decades of experience in strategic communications, law, and policy—including over 25 years in complex litigation and international human rights—her work spans multiple jurisdictions and systems. Michelle addresses structural inequities affecting access to justice, safety, education, and environmental resources through nonviolent, rights-affirming approaches. She maintains a mediation practice specializing in high-conflict cases involving coercive control, applying trauma-informed, disciplined frameworks while advocating for systemic education and reform grounded in dignity, agency, and human rights.

Rae Kyritsi is a dispute resolution specialist based in the upper Midwest, focused on fostering constructive dialogue and effective conflict navigation. She is the founder of Caldera Dialogue and Consulting Services, providing consulting in conflict management, change management, grievance processes, and community dialogue. Her work centers on designing tailored conflict engagement programs that promote collaboration and sustainable resolution. She also teaches mediation, arbitration, and negotiation. Previously, Rae served as Programs Director at the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago, overseeing regional mediation programs and earning certifications in civil, criminal, elder, and family mediation, with a strong commitment to community-based solutions and dispute system design.
