Our 2025 charity is AVANZAR, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1975 to empower individuals and families by working to secure their physical safety, emotional well-being, individual freedom, and economic equality. They provide comprehensive services to Atlantic County victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and statewide services for human trafficking victims under the age of 21.

AVANZAR’s services include a 24-7 Crisis Hotline and an Emergency Shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Their non-residential programming and administrative offices are in Pleasantville, and their Regional Technical Assistance Center for Grow New Jersey Kids is in Hammonton. Additionally, they have a central office in Trenton, New Jersey, housing the central and northern areas of their human trafficking program and Mercer County workforce development program.
