The Eighth Amendment’s Criminal Protections

Course Level: Basic

This session will explore the Eighth Amendment and why the death penalty is or is not appropriate punishment. Additionally, we will explore why the Eighth Amendment protects convicted child rapists from being put to death. The session will analyze Supreme Court cases, and why the Eighth Amendment may or may not serve justice for convicted felons.
