Description: This session will examine the nuances of the standard of care and review the differences between the standard of care, the gold standard, and standard care. Participants will analyze a real-life case to determine if the standard of care was breached and, if so, whether it caused harm to a patient.

Presenter Biography: Dr. Kenny Stein has been a medical expert witness for over 20 years, testifying at depositions and trials over 300 times. He has practiced emergency medicine and critical care medicine for nearly 30 years. Dr. Stein is board-certified in emergency medicine (ABPS) and internal medicine (ABIM) and holds a subspecialty certification in neurocritical care (UCNS).
