Pathways to U.S. Immigration

In person CLE dinner, featuring Ryan Kosobucki, Esq. who stated the following concerning the presentation:
“The objective is to give attendees a helpful overview of how U.S. immigration actually works and what law firms prepare and file with the immigration benefits agency (USCIS) and consular posts (Department of State) for temporary work and student visas, green cards through employment, and green cards through family, as well as other pathways, such as humanitarian. We will touch on substantive eligibility and obstacles such as inadmissibility.”
Learning objectives:
1. The presentation will give a broad overview of various visa classifications and eligibility requirements of each.
2. The presentation will outline the ways permanent U.S. citizenship is granted, and what requirements immigrants must meet, as well as timelines and legal hurdles sometimes encountered.
3. The speaker will discuss more recent immigration law trends and complications with recent ICE detentions.
