Domestic Violence Screening and Intervention for Attorneys and Legal Staff

This CLE provides attorneys and legal staff with practical guidance on identifying and screening for domestic violence concerns in legal cases. The program addresses trauma-informed approaches to client interactions and outlines appropriate legal interventions, including injunctions for protection, Risk Protection Orders (RPOs), and criminal-justice options. Attendees will also learn how to prepare clients and supporting information for court to promote safety and effective legal advocacy.

1. Identify domestic violence indicators and apply trauma-informed screening.
2. Advise on appropriate legal interventions, including injunctions, RPOs, and criminal options.
3. Prepare clients and supporting evidence for court proceedings to enhance safety and legal protection.
