Utilizing Skilled Interpreters

This will be a session on the importance of hiring a certified interpreter who meets all judicial requirements.

Learning Objectives:

1. Florida Rules for Certification and Regulation of Spoken Language Court Interpreters (RULE 14.100 – 14.460).
2. The importance of having an interpreter present at court hearings and trials, mediations, depositions, and real estate closings.
3. Distinctions between: (a) language versus dialect and (b) interpreter versus translator.
