Regina Thomas
Regina is associate general counsel and global head of copyright and media law for Oath Inc., the media and technology company formerly known as AOL plus newly acquired Yahoo. Regina advises all Oath properties including HuffPost, Yahoo News, TechCrunch, Flickr, Tumblr, and Engadget on copyright, defamation, publicity rights, and related issues. Regina joined (then) AOL in 2004 from Morgan Lewis where she focused on IP advising and licensing, and she was an IP paralegal before law school. Regina earned her J.D. at Georgetown, where she was a Legal Research and Writing law fellow and Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics senior editor. Regina frequently lectures on digital media topics and has taught at Georgetown and George Washington law schools. She serves on the boards of two media law organizations.
