Nicholas Romley, J.D.
Nicholas earned his B.A. in Political Science from the Honors College at Michigan State University, where he also served as the Vice President of Beta Theta Pi fraternity and was elected to the university’s student government. Upon graduation, Nicholas began work as a Graduate Intern for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, supporting Staff Attorneys in preparation for committee hearings on F.I.S.A. legislation and Federal Judicial nominations. Nicholas went on to earn his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2012. The following year, Nicholas joined Special Counsel as a Business Development Director in the Michigan office and quickly became an expert in the field of legal recruiting for non-attorney positions. In 2015 and 2016, Nicholas placed more direct hire candidates than any other recruiter in Special Counsel, including 53 direct hire placements in 2016 alone. In January 2017, Nicholas was promoted to Executive Director for Special Counsel in Michigan. In this capacity, he leads a team of recruiters who focus on recruiting legal professionals for contract, contract to hire, and direct hire positions across the state. In addition to these responsibilities he is the primary point of contact supporting law firms and corporations on large scale discovery and document review litigation productions.
