Description: “The Importance of Community Outreach” is the topic for the upcoming virtual NALA Affiliated Association Presentation on September 19, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. CT! Join us for a presentation from Kerry Blackburn & Marlena Mendez Higgins from the Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants. By the end of this session, affiliates will have heard ways they can get their associations involved in community outreach, ideas for fundraising for organizations in their community, and why community outreach matters.
Instructor: Kerry Blackburn
Kerry Blackburn has been the President of COALA since 2021. She served as the NALA/Bar Liaison from 2017-2020. She has been in the legal field since 2009. She received her associate in paralegal studies from Rose State College in 2016. She currently works at ONE Gas in Oklahoma City as a paralegal and handles franchise contracts. Her experience includes oil and gas, civil rights, general litigation, and contract law. In her spare time, she enjoys running and hanging out with her husband of 20 years and her two boys.

Within 1 week of the webinar attendance will be marked and a completion email will be sent stating that your certificate is now available. To view your certificate and transcript please visit nala.education. Click on the blue arrow in the top right and select transcript. From this menu, you can view or print certificates or your transcript.
