Description: This presentation focuses on the key components to putting out a quality newsletter/e-zine that contains relevant and timely information. The goal is to provide attendees with the materials they need to get started on their own newsletter/e-zine or to revamp their current one to increase readership, participation and get rave reviews.
Amber Roberts, ACP and Kim Brown, ACP will discuss strategies the Nebraska Paralegal Association (“NePA”) uses to plan its newsletter/e-zine each quarter. Some key factors that will be discussed are the importance of a publications committee, using templates and checklists, getting quality articles and information, relevant and interesting topics, planning the details, and following through on publication. This presentation targets all members of NALA affiliated associations who will benefit from the review and get great tips and tricks to use to publish a newsletter/e-zine that contains relevant information and actually gets read. Examples of NePA’s e-zine can be found at http://nebraskaparalegal.org/news.php under the In Brief Newsletter heading. We’ll also touch on other types of communication like Facebook, email, etc.
