Candidate 2022: Michele T. Pfeiffer, ACP
04 Apr 2022

Candidate for Office of Secretary

Candidate Question: To be a truly great board member requires having good character, a strong commitment to the paralegal profession, the gift of time, and a willingness to use personal and professional resources to advance NALA’s mission. Tell us your “why”. Why are you interested in serving on the NALA Board of Directors? Tell us about a prior leadership experience where you have moved the dial, shifted the mindset, and ultimately, influenced decisions.

Candidate Response: As a past NALA board member, I want to continue serving NALA members, affiliates, and stakeholders.  My interests lie in working directly with the board, our members, staff, and affiliates’ associations and events.  Corroborating directly with members, the NALA board members and staff find solutions, products, and services that meet their needs.  In response to that, I served on my local paralegal association for over 20 years. I inaugurated the first student liaison program with local paralegal schools.  I became the first Liaison to our numerous bar associations and coordinated joint MCLE programs and speakers.  All while serving as various committee chairs and on the executive board, including recording our minutes.  I was instrumental in keeping the doors of CAPA open using resources such as NALA, the LEAP program, and mentors to work with us to turn the tides and keep our alliance associations engaged.  As your Secretary, it will allow me to be involved to make sure our meetings, plans, and accomplishments are not only in line with NALA’s mission, yet also documented to meet the demands of our members for higher education through CLE’s, webinars and conferences, affiliate visits, exams, leadership growth, and quality social media and benefits.
