Child custody is one area of law that will likely touch every legal practitioner’s work life regardless of your actual practice area. Inevitably, as soon as someone knows you work in law, you will be asked to give some guidance about a child custody case whether it is from a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker or a client.

In this webinar, we will go through the basics of child custody including the legal definitions to give you a solid understanding of child custody laws. Then we will walk through best practices for proving a child custody case. We will discuss some unique situations like how to deal with a child custody case when CPS is involved, guardian ad litem and how to use experts like parenting coordinators and custody evaluators. Finally, we will discuss real life examples and strategies for how to deal with child custody clients.
