Job Summary: 
Busy estate planning and trust administration practice in Los Altos has an immediate opening for a seasoned and experienced full-time Trust and Estate Administration paralegal. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is highly motivated, a self-starter, detail oriented, a team player and projects a positive attitude. In a collegial relaxed work environment, our paralegals work closely with attorneys and other support staff and must be able to manage multiple styles and deadlines. Ideal candidates will have experience with all aspects of the trust and estate administration process, including the following : • Marshalling, organizing and analyzing asset information • Valuation of assets and strategize allocation to subtrusts • Preparation of inventories, asset allocation agreements, asset transfer documents, and Judicial Council forms • Researching and drafting grant deeds, trust transfer deeds, and supporting documents • Drafting probate pleadings, including fiduciary reports/accountings, Spousal Property petitions, Heggstad petitions, etc. • Assisting with Estate and Gift Tax return preparation
Requirements or Qualifications: 
• Ability to disseminate information from bank, brokerage and other financial statements • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, financial institutions, government agencies and attorneys • Familiarity with local court rules and procedures • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team • Ability to multitask, manage own caseload in a timely manner, and track and meet deadlines • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, Publisher • Experience in trust, estate or probate administration required • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program
