The AAA is seeking a Senior Case Administrator, Case Administrator level III, in our Commercial Division. As a Senior Case Administrator, the successful candidate will provide administration on arbitration and mediation cases in accordance with the rules and procedures of the AAA and applicable law.

  • Understands context of AAA procedures, and is able to interpret and determine their application to specific cases and those of fellow case administrators.
  • Serves as an impartial liaison in order to initiate and maintain the efficient flow of information between the parties, representatives and arbitrators.
  • Under the supervision of a Manager of ADR Services or Director of ADR Operations, manages an assigned caseload independent of the established team structure.
  • Prioritizes tasks, identifies important deadlines, and follows through accordingly.
  • Assists arbitrators in the timely and accurate issuance of awards.
  • Reviews and evaluates routine and complex case management issues for their assigned caseload. May also serve as a resource to case administrators in dealing with the identification and resolution of administrative issues on other cases.
  • Provides guidance to case administrators on a regular basis to ensure that quality and consistent process standards are met.
  • Provides training to new case administrators and assists in their ongoing learning and development.
  • Manages additional case files and provides case administration coverage for Managers of ADR Services, when necessary, to ensure a timely continuation of services.
Requirements or Qualifications: 


The ideal candidate demonstrates strong reasoning ability; possesses a high degree of attention to communication; is constituent oriented with a disposition for fostering teamwork and collaboration; and takes initiative.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline; and 5 years of relevant experience (i.e. law office or case administration); or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience as a Case Administrator II preferred, but not required.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as legal files, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers, attorneys, arbitrators, mediators and employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to understand and interpret statistical reports, financial/fee schedules, data charts and graphs.

Computer Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based and/or database case management software.
