Boutique General Practice Law Firm seeks an experienced Paralegal/Legal Assistant with 2+ years of experience with phones, dealing with clients, scheduling appointments, hearings, trials, etc., and emails, filing, mail and assisting 2 attorneys with daily tasks. A majority of our practice focusing on Foreclosure Defense, Consumer Debt Defense, Bankruptcy (Chapters 7, 11, and 13), Real Estate Transactions, General Real Estate Litigation, Probate and Estate Planning and Criminal Matters. We are seeking to fill a full-time position immediately. Excellent pay and includes full benefits after 90 days of employment. A minimum of 2 years paralegal experience. Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered. Ability to work well with others in a high pressure environment is a must. Successful candidates will be responsible for handling client files from inception to settlement. This position entails extensive contact with clients. Must have strong written and oral communication skills, be proactive and detail-oriented, and have a take control/ownership of files work ethic. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be able to gather, analyze and research information and documents and manage a high volume case load. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and demonstrate acute attention to detail. Must be a team player and able to function in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment. Responsibilities • Solid work history of at least 2 years as a paralegal • Assist attorneys in performing legal tasks in research, document production and overall legal support to the attorney's practice • Experience preparing motions, setting matters for hearing and trials • Proficiency e-filing through CM/ECF and the Florida E-Filing Portal and experience with PACER and Simplifile • Working knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure (State and Federal), Bankruptcy Rules of Procedure, and local rules for Duval, Clay, Putnam, Volusia and St. Johns County, as well as the Middle District of Florida • Experience Bates labeling, preparing privilege logs and trial notebooks, calendaring, creating and organizing case files, legal research and discovery Please reply with a resume and cover letter.
