Primary Responsibilities of the Healthcare Licensing Manager / Healthcare Paralegal

  • Have primary responsibility for ensuring the company is properly licensed and credentialed in the 40+ states in which it operates
  • Manage team responsible for ensuring that the company maintains the required licenses and credentialing with state and federal authorities including state healthcare licensing bodies, state Medicaid authorities, CMS and others
  • Maintain expertise in licensing and credentialing field and ensure company’s licensing and credentialing team is using best practices and staying abreast of regulatory changes
Requirements or Qualifications: 
Primary Requirements for the Healthcare Licensing Manager / Healthcare Paralegal: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration, paralegal studies or related field; Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in healthcare-related licensing, enrollment credentialing, and/or accreditation; Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in supervisory position; Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises, licensed to drive and able to travel out of state, including by air; Ability to concentrate and remain focused while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities and projects; Ability to work over eight hours in a work day, and over 40 in a work week as necessary; Ability to read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions; Superior collaboration, communication and diplomacy skills; Demonstrated leadership ability; Ability to travel to corporate offices as needed; Proficiency in managing voluminous licensing requirements and enrollments; Excellent sense of prioritization, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure and Position Details for the Licensing Manager.
