Job Summary: 

SimpleLaw is a legal case and practice management software platform that makes attorneys more efficient and gives clients peace of mind. We are unique in the space as we eliminate redundant process, give full control of documents to our attorneys, and offer on-demand vetted paralegal support. That's where you come in.

We are in immediate need of a New York City based real estate paralegal for both transactional ( coop-condo unit sales and closings, commercial leases) and litigation(landlord tenant and state court) cases.

You should be familiar with downstate NY local customs for real estate sales and Landlord-tenant procedures. Work is mostly in NYC but also in Westchester County (a NYC suburb) from time to time.

You should have a full version of acrobat or similar that allows them to create, edit and fill in pdf forms with blank spaces. They should be standardized on Windows rather than MAC.

You should be adept at contract draft creation/editing based on term sheets and negotiation, have experience dealing with managing agents, brokers, court clerks, etc.

Most important, a detail oriented self starter and quick learner who looks to improve processes while performing assignments.

Requirements or Qualifications: 
Minimum of 5 years of experience in New York City real estate, and awareness of NY laws in general. Must have access to Adobe Acrobat. If not, we can help with that. Work is 100% remote and will be paid on a per task basis, unless you are interested in an ongoing part-time position.
