The Corporate Paralegal provides support to Office of General Counsel and other members of DBMG subsidiaries and Management team.  This role focuses in the areas of: corporate governance including board of directors/board committee minutes and resolutions, corporate finance and treasury, mergers & acquisitions, licensing and registration of numerous legal entities, as well as general corporate legal work. This role interacts daily with senior management and the Board of Directors at DBMG headquarters.  Position handles privileged, confidential and time sensitive information. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide litigation, e-discovery and dispute resolution support.
  • Compile, analyze and summarize information for attorneys, clients and outside legal counsel.
  • Prepare drafts of corporate, government, board of directors documents/correspondence.
  • Drafting regulatory responses, disclosure documents, and internal memos.
  • Responsible for effectively managing corporate governance and licensing.
  • Obtain, maintain and organize company documents.
  • Respond to service of process and subpoenas.
  • Provide administrative support for in-house counsel.
  • Partner with CFO to administer and coordinate financial legal documents.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary and appropriate by management/supervision.

Work Experience

Five (5)+ years related experience supporting a global corporation (preferably construction and/or manufacturing) or comparable law firm work.

Software & Technology

Computer Software includes: MS Windows 7, Concur, MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook. WestLaw and some database experience expected.

Requirements or Qualifications: 
  • Education/Training
  • High school Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited school required.
