What You'll Be Doing
Under general supervision, you will be providing daily administrative duties in support of the Legal/Risk Division to ensure compliance with state legal regulations.

Vacancy Situation
The Park District currently has one (1) vacancy located at Headquarters:  2950 Peralta Oaks Court, Oakland, CA 94605.  This list may be used to fill future vacancies that may occur during the one year life of the hiring pools. 

Performs a variety of challenging and complex legal administrative/organizational support functions pertaining to confidential legal matters for the Legal/Risk Division which include:•Manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence; 

  • Intake  and assist in the resolution of Workers' Compensation claims; 
  • Review Public Records Act requests, and compile and organize records and prepare responses; 
  • Provide litigation support including preparation of discovery responses, litigation and trial binders, and document reproduction; 
  • Conduct legal research; draft documents including confidential correspondence, staff reports, minutes,  and other legal documents; 
  • Organize and maintain office electronic and paper files; 
  • Receive and screen callers; 
  • Provide information to the public and staff; 
  • Assist in the preparation of division budget; 
  • Maintain multiple calendars; 
  • Arrange meetings, appointments, and conferences; 
  • Coordinate travel arrangements; 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
